Born in Isparta, Turkey in 1983.

Went to Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara and Graduated with a B.Sc. degree from Molecular Biology and Genetics Department with High Honor degree in 2006. Did research studies on proteomics analysis of Phanerochaete chrysosporium exposed to heavy metals.

Now enrolled in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology graduate program in Pennsylvania State University seeking a Ph.D. degree. expected date of graduation is 2012. doing research on post-translational modifications of mitochondrial ribosomal proteins.
